The IRXross has a self-diagnosis function.
The IRXross automatically checks its own status during operation or initilization. When all items are judged OK, the IRXross can be used normally. The contents of the self-diagnosis are described below.

« Self Diagnostics during Initialization »
Selecting the [Initialize] on [Instrument] button initializes IRXross and executes self diagnostics. The result of the self diagnostics is recorded on the operation log and as result file. The result file is stored onto the "Diagnostics" folder in the folder which LabSolutions IR is installed.
When a test item passes, "Pass" is recorded in the log. When an item fails, "Fail" is recorded in the log.

If [Laser] or [Light Source] failed, the applicable part must be replaced. Please contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.
If [Humidity] failed, the humidity inside the interferometer may have increased, which may damage the optical element.
In this case:
1) Remove the AC power cable immediately and do not use the IRXross.
2) Remove the Silica gel case backside of IRXross and replace to new silica gels immediately.
When the Dehumidifier is installed, replace to the Silica gel case and replace to new silica gels.

Because "Power spectrum" measures a power spectrum with no sample in the sample compartment, remove any samples and accessories from the sample compartment. If this test was failed by interrupting the beam, you can execute self diagnostics in LabSolutions IR after initialization. If this test was failed with the sample compartment empty, execute [Auto Adjust]. If the test is still failed after auto adjustment, the beam splitter might be damaged. Please contact a Shimadzu sales or service representative.

Click [Instrument] on the scan toolbar in LabSolutions IR and select [Diagnostics] to display the Diagnostic Screen.
NOTE: The used hours of the light source and laser at the time of installation includes the time when the IRSpirit was manufactured and inspected. So used hours may be defferent from hours after installation.
