The silica gel replacement procedure is described below.
1. First, open the sample compartment cover and remove the magnet sheet at the front. Then the silica gel case is revealed.
2. Loosen the two screws (3) which fix the silica gel case (1) and draw the silica gel case toward you.
3. Bend either side wall of the removed silica gel case and remove the lid plate.
4. Take out all the silica gel and put new silica gel in it. In the silica gel case, set the six silica gel packs which are supplied as the standard accessory so that three packs align for the upper and other three for the lower.
5. Bend the side wall of the silica gel case again to mount the lid.
6. Mount the silica gel case to the original position at the front in the sample compartment and fix it with the two screws.
7. Mount the magnet sheet.

CAUTION: When replacing the silica gel, sealed state of the interferometer is broken. Therefore, replacement of the silica gel should be performed as quickly as possible. If the silica gel case is left long with the lid opened, the deliquescence of the KBr beam splitter occurs and the system may be damaged.
