• Replacement Procedure
1. Close the sample piping valve between the pure water system and the TOC-1000e to stop the inflow of the sample.
2. Stop the instrument.
Shut down the instrument, and turn off the main switch.

WARNING: Do NOT open the front panel of the instrument while the power is still on.

3. Open the front panel.
1) Loosen the two retaining screws on the bottom side of the panel with your fingers.

2) Open the panel.
The front panel has a stopper. Open the front panel to a position where it does not move any more after you stop holding it.

4. Remove the pump head tube from the pump fittings.
The pump fittings (plastic parts) do not come off. Only pull out the tube.

5. Turn the pump head counter-clockwise to remove it.
Turning the pump head counter-clockwise unlocks it for removal.

6. Install a new pump head.
1) Attach the pump head to the instrument and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
2) Attach the two ends of the tube to the two pump fittings.
Make sure that the fittings are completely inserted into the tube, so that the tube covers the root of each fitting.

7. Close the front panel.
1) Release the stopper.
2) Close the front panel.
3) Tighten the two retaining screws for the front panel while gently pressing on the front panel.
