CAUTION: Always turn off the instrument when attaching or detaching the vial sampler.

1. Attach vial stickers to the vial caps.
Affix a sticker along the circumference on top of each vial cap.
When using standard solution vials for calibration and validation, use the stickers supplied with the standard solution set.
When using 40 mL vials (Part No.: 038-00158-11), use 638-86265-02 (set of 100 stickers).

2. Lift the needle pipe up from the pipe stand and pull it out forward.
3. Tilt the needle pipe 45 degrees forward and push a vial in from the bottom.
When doing so, pass the needles through the two holes in the vial sticker.

NOTE: Insert the vial completely into the needle pipe while making sure that the two needles go through the two holes in the vial sticker.
CAUTION:
• Do NOT tilt the vial more than 90 degrees.

• Do NOT puncture anywhere outside of the holes in the vial sticker with the needles.

• The vial should be pushed into the needle pipe with the needle pipe removed from the pipe stand.
Pushing hard on the needle pipe from above while the vial is on the pipe stand may cause distortion in the vial sampler or other problems.

4. Return the needle pipe to its original position.

• Removing the Vial
1. Hold the vial with your fingers through the two side slits in the needle pipe and slide the vial.

2. Hold the side of the vial and pull the vial out of the needle pipe without turning it.
CAUTION: Do NOT turn the vial when pulling it out. It may cause the needle to bend.

3. Return the needle pipe to its original position.
