(PPSQ) Shutting Down the Gradient System(Short-Term Shutdown)

When not using the system for a short time, replace the liquid in the column and piping with gradient solution B and then turn off the power to the PPSQ, detector, and column oven. (However, in order to minimize reagent degradation, keep the ambient temperature within the operating temperature range of the system.)

 

CAUTION: Clean the column of the gradient system at the end of analysis by pumping liquid for a minimum of 1 hour at a flow rate of 0.3mL/min and B.Conc of 100%.
  Otherwise, the column performance may deteriorate.

 

CAUTION: Store the column of the gradient system with B liquid (100%) sealed in it.
  Otherwise, the column performance may deteriorate.

 

1. Changing LC Control
  1) Click [LC Control] on the [Maintenance] menu in the [PPSQ Analysis] window.
    [LC Control] dialog box is displayed.

     

  2) Set the LC unit conditions.

    Pump: T.Flow 0.3mL/min, B.Conc 100

    Detector: Lamp OFF

    Column oven: 35ºC

  3) Click [Download].

 

2. Turning OFF the Power

  1) Quit all software.
  2) Shut down Windows OS running on the control PC.
  3) Turn OFF the power to the PPSQ, the detector, and the column oven.

 

3. Stopping the Supply of N₂ Gas。
  1) Close the outlet-side needle valve of the N₂ gas cylinder’s pressure regulator(1) and the cylinder’s shut-off valve.

     

    When restoring power to the system, follow the procedure described in "Starting Up the Gradient System(Startup After Short-Term Shutdown)".
