If a LabSolutions user forgets their password, this can be reset by any LabSolutions user who has the 'Permit user administration' user right enabled on their account. Passwords can also be changed by any LabSolutions System Administrator.
Note that if the System Administrator password is forgotten, and no other user is set up with User Administration rights, the System Administrator password must be reset by the Shimadzu Informatics team. Please contact informatics@shimadzu.co.uk in this case.
Procedure for resetting a LabSolutions User password:
Log in to LabSolutions and select 'User Administration' from the Administration tab
Select 'User Administration'
Select the relevant user and click 'Edit'
Enter a new password (and confirm password) in the relevant box, click 'OK'
The user can now log in with the reset password. Depending on the security policy settings, the user may be prompted to change this password at first log in.
