When not using the system for a long time, in consideration of the next startup, perform the following procedures before turning OFF the power.
1. Cleaning the Flow Line
1) Set a new glass fiber disk and PTFE filter in the reactor.
Click here for "(PPSQ) Disassembling/Assembling the Reactor".

Click here for "(PPSQ) Disassembling/Assembling the Reactor".
2) Click [PPSQ Wash] (shutdown cleaning schedule) in the [PPSQ Analysis] window.
3) Enter 5 as the [Number of Cycles] and click [Register].
When using the PPSQ-x3A(Triple reacors model), register the other reactors.
4) Click [Start] on the [Sequence] menu.
Cleaning process starts.
When the washing process starts, the status color of the registration frame on the sequence analysis turns blue and after completing it, it turns black.
HINT: Alternatively Click [START] on the tool bar. Cleaning process starts.

2. Removing Reagents
1) After cleaning, remove the solvent bottles in the order S2, S3, and S4B.
2) Execute the backflush operation for at least 5 minutes for each solvent.

Click here for "(PPSQ) Removing Reagents".
CAUTION: The reagent is pushed back with considerable force. Exercise due care.
3) Remove reagent bottles R1, R2, R3, and R4 and perform the backflush operation for at least 5 minutes.
4) Attach clean empty bottles to the parts where reagent bottles R1, R2, R3, and R4 were attached and perform the purge operation for at least 5 minutes.
Click here for "(PPSQ) Replacing Reagents".

Click here for "(PPSQ) Replacing Reagents".
5) Attach clean bags to all the attachment points for the reagent/solvent bottles removed in steps 5) and 6) to prevent dust from accumulating.
6) Store the reagents in the respectively specified conditions.
6) Store the reagents in the respectively specified conditions.
3. Cleaning the Column and LC Piping
Replace the mobile phase with a cleaning liquid consisting of 7 parts acetonitrile and 3 parts distilled water and clean the flow line and column. (It normally takes approximately 3 hours.)
1) Click [LC Control] on the [Maintenance] menu in the [PPSQ Analysis] window.
2) Replace the mobile phase with a cleaning liquid consisting of 7 parts acetonitrile and 3 parts distilled water.
3) Remove the pump unit's suction filter from the mobile phase bottle and clean it with a small amount of the cleaning liquid described above.
4) Put the suction filter in a container holding the cleaning liquid.
5) Open the pump unit's drain valve by turning the lever 180º counterclockwise.
6) Press the [purge] button on the solvent delivery module.

7) Insert the end of the drain tube in a suitable container.
Check that liquid flows out of the end of the drain tube. Continue pumping liquid until the container holding the end of the tube contains 20 to 30 mL of liquid.
8) Press the [purge] button on the solvent delivery module. The liquid stops flowing.

10) Insert the outlet of the piping tube connected to the detector's cell outlet in the container.
11) Enter "0.5mL/min" as the pump flow rate.
12) Click [Download].
When the pump is not running, click [Activate]. Liquid is pumped at a flow rate of 0.5 mL/min until the baseline stabilizes. (It normally takes approximately 3 hours.)
13) In the [PPSQ Analysis] window, either click the [Chromatogram] icon or click [LC Analysis] on the [Monitor] menu the [PPSQ Analysis] window.
14) If the baseline deviates from "0" on the vertical axis, press the [ZERO] button on the detector.
