Depending on the LabSolutions Security Policy settings, a user may become locked out if they enter an incorrect password after a number of attempts. The user is presented with the window below:
This lockout period may be temporary or permanent depending on the policy settings. The user can either wait for the lockout period to expire, or be released by a System Administrator using the procedure below:
- Sign in to LabSolutions as a System Administrator
- Select the Administration tab
- Select 'User Administration'
- Select 'Release User Lockout'
- Select the locked-out user and click 'Release".
The user is now free to attempt to log in again. If the user has forgotten their password, it can be reset using the procedure - Forgotten passwords in LabSolutions.
